swift tribute live band shoot (winford media’s version)

it’s me, hi, i’m the blogger - it’s me.

i can’t think of a better way to launch the winford media blog than by sharing about the most recent promotional shoot we worked on with the swift tribute live band (@swifttributeband). logan and i planned, coordinated, and photographed a five-hour studio promo session with them - and as you can see from the photos, we had the best day! everyone involved in this project is so incredibly talented and seeing them play together was like watching sparks fly.

i almost exclusively work behind the scenes when it comes to events, so you might be wondering what it is i do, which is part of the reason i thought a blog would be a nice addition to our website! so here’s a little bit about me! and what i do when you book coordination at winford media:

in preparation for this shoot, i had several conversations and meetings with nadya, the mastermind behind this project. getting so much done in such a short period of time was a delicate matter and it was crucial that we were on the same page going into the shoot. our meetings included: going through the set list, outfits, and details - whatever you can think of to make sure that we met all of their goals! (the more you tell me in advance, the better!) then, to make sure that we were …ready for it, i created a timeline for the day of the shoot.

when you hire me, you’re not on your own (kid) on the day of the shoot either. before even making it to the studio, i made a target run to pick up forgotten items and made a stop to grab hot teas for the vocalists. (it’s nice to have a friend, am i right?) day of, i become your go-to-gal when it comes to timeline, details, question(s)…?, and even if you just need someone to zip up your dress. basically, i make sure that everyone (from musicians to audio and visual) has what they need, and if they don’t, make sure that they know they can speak now.

you’ll see me making sure everyone’s hydrating, getting content for social media, organizing boxes, and setting up charcuterie boards. (i know it sounds like i am a mad woman, but i can assure you that i am not!) if (and let’s be honest, when) we got off schedule, i wouldn’t tolerate it. i take my timelines seriously and we were able to get everything we needed with time to spare. long story short, there’s not a lot i don’t end up doing when i am coordinating events.

after a long day of shooting with swift tribute live, i can say with confidence that this show is the 1! and i cannot wait to share more of the gorgeous photos that logan took at this shoot. we genuinely cannot wait to continue to watch this band grow and perform together - and we’ll be cheering them on throughout it all.
